MAG Transportation Open Houses

Orem Open House - Wednesday, October 15th

The Provo to Nebo Study Team attended the annual Mountainland Association of Government's Transportation Open House for the central county area to make attendees aware of study efforts. A Project Fact Sheet was handed out to all interested parties that explained the project goals and timeline. Several individuals made comments though the Project website for consideration by the Consultant Team at the work station set up at the open house.

Payson Open House - Thursday, October 16th

At the Payson Open House in the south county area, the Study Team conducted a mini-workshop for local residents in the Study Area. A station was set up for each of the corridors (West, South and Spanish Fork) that provided a map of the corridor, environmental data and the goals for the corridor that had been previously identified by members of the Working Groups and/or the participants in the Stakeholder meeting. Individuals were able to view the environmental data that had been gathered and mapped as well as view the alignments that had already been proposed or they would mark on the map another alignment to be considered.

After visiting a corridor station, participants were asked to provide comments on which alignment(s) they preferred and why, which environmental concerns did they had and to comment on which goals best fit the alignment(s) they chose. The input provided on the comment sheets will be analyzed by the Consultant Team along with other data.
